[Our new approach to game development schedules has us releasing smaller bite-sized amounts of content once per month, so our next update planned is set for October! For the next support build/versions this will be v0.22. That update will focus on the rest of episode 5’s content and ep 1 & 2’s QoL additions and fixes, including the female protagonist Blythe being playable! -Android builds have been known to not run on some mobile devices or other issues with running the game, it crashing, etc. Mobile builds are more seen as a bonus during main development, if they work for you, that’s great. But just be mindful to test the public builds of our game or have a pc/mac as a backup option if you’re thinking of supporting us purely for mobile builds during main development.
We are taking bug/issue reports with mobile though! Please provide us with what model/specs you’re having issues with and as much details as possible regarding what is happening with running the game, etc. (This will help us at the end of development to optimize our mobile finalized build.)

Players now have the choice to stand up and try stopping the punishment from happening, skipping it altogether. This change was for those who really dislike being forced to have any punishment happen, so hopefully this will be fitting. New dialogue!

Q&A
Where is my OC background character?
We haven’t forgotten them! We’re looking at fitting spots to add them, please bare with us. If you are still waiting for your oc background character art to begin, we promise we have you kept track of and will get updates to you asap once ready. We have a priority system for what is needed and adjust it around when required.
Is there no music in the game after Episode 1?
Right now Episode 1 is mainly the only area that features music. We are adding music as we add new episodes to the game. In the meantime, the rest of the game will be lacking music for the time being.
I thought you guys are adding new CG art in this update?
We have finished paying off our music producer for the 13 original music tracks made for the game. With that out of the way, we are focusing our funding efforts roughly 60%+ into CG art moving forward. Expect at least 3+ cg scenes for update 0.16 with more in the coming months as our major focus moving forward. (Sorry for the issues regarding this)
We want more content per update, you’re lacking on content.
Please understand, many of us on the team do as much as we can on the game. Much of our time outside of the game project is split between working our normal jobs, schooling or making room for personal free time. It’s a lot to juggle at once, we want to offer as much content as possible too, trust us.
Let us know what kind of content feels like we’re lacking on per update, we’d love to know and possibly improve on it. We’re always open to suggestions, but do understand we can’t possibly accept all suggestions either.
Why change the format from day/dates to episodes?
Simply put, we had way too much focus on time overall in the face of the player. You are always reminded of the day, time and when everything takes place exactly. While that’s fine, it causes issues when having the game also try to bring up time skipping.
Plus the episode format seems more closer to the whole original idea for Messy Academy, that is to be seen as if you’re watching an anime series episode that’s slice of life, mixed with some other elements from time to time.
Why go back and mess with old content? Why not continue adding new stuff towards the end of the game?
We always planned on going back to adjust and fix up the writing for the early content in the game regardless. It was just a matter of when to do it and sadly we can’t split our focus on older content and completely new content in one given game update.
With that said, the adjustments being made are firstly improving the writing quality to be higher standard. Fixing old dialogue to feel more natural in the conversations that took place and pacing of events feeling natural. This also includes expanding on existing content and adding new content not previously seen before.
We will still be on track with our scheduled finished date of having the game fully finished by early 2022 even with this all in mind.
I took my save data from a previous game update and put it in the most recent game update. Why am I seeing weird game issues?
Sadly this isn’t supported and will cause you game breaking bugs, crashes, etc. Please avoid using old save data with new game updates. We will be looking into offering new game updates as (Full game) or (Patch game) versions in the future.
(Full game) = Simply download latest game update and play. Doesn’t support old save data.
(Patch game) = I have game update 0.15 and with this I can apply update 0.16 to it. Allows me to carry over save data.

I know this sucks to hold off on, but I would rather have most of the general tracked needed for the day to day stuff added at once. -Brandon accident choices. (days 1-19) (Brandon will have moments through the game that force him to try holding in his urge to use his diaper. This will be part of a mini game, seeing how most games only reward players for “losing”. We want to make this mini game feel fun and when you beat it, you will have an accident. Instead of beating it to avoid an accident, as it feels like in these kind of fetish games. It’s not really fun to lose a mini game to get your “reward” in this sense. As I assume most people will want to have accidents. We will have a poll to ask what everyone thinks is the best way to handle this though.)
-Classroom section choices. (more interaction with class related focus) (Very small additional content, but classroom moments in the game will receive some more interactions for choices that are fitting and try to play up the classes taking part feel.)
-Earlier main story adjustments. (days 1-19) (Main story details added earlier, light punishment stuff seen between staff and students. General adjusting of the writing to put it more in line with how route’s writing feels like, aka make the dialogue a bit more smooth, some minor details of actions and details of setting up the scenes better, etc.)

(OC background sprites: We have two characters to add into the game, but sadly given some adjusting we’ll be doing soon to older content. We’re going to hold off on adding them in with update 0.14. We’ll be keeping an eye out for fitting moments where we can really make some good use of these oc characters, as we adjust older content. Sorry about this, we ensure you the wait shall be worth it!)
(Music: This is going to be added into update 0.15, given how we’re handling the music being added. It’s best to have everything for tracks ready before we begin this process, plus we’re not allowed to use tracks we haven’t paid for. By the time update 0.15 releases, we’ll have the tracks all paid off, making it ideal timing.)
(CG art: Update 0.15 will be light on cg art, but we’re currently trying to work out some things behind the scenes with this. The short summary is our cg artist had major delay issues with the day 17 idol cg scene, so we’re trying to test if they’re turnaround time on finishing scenes are going to be better and work overall for the project or not. We have some ideas in mind, possibly bringing in another artist if we need to. But we’re trying to be careful on this, as we don’t wish to rush or waste funding on this to find out things will run into future issues. But this will also include some expanding on stuff, so think of it as fixing old content while adding new content to keep it fresh. (Jump buttons will be used as we do this, to let players get straight to newly adjusted content.) This will be a ongoing effort, but added with this we’ll add in features like the player accidents minigame dialogue/areas with placeholder choices where the minigame would pop up for it in the future. Classroom and main academy storyline will receive more focus added to older areas to help keep up the academy storyline taking place.
